The Government of Assam has introduced the Teachers' Eligibility Test (TET) for recruitment of teachers at all levels in schools. Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Teachers' Eligibility Test (TET) has been made mandatory for all teachers in the state, both in government and private schools to ensure quality education.
The Assam Government would appoint 31,000 teachers during the next few years and the TET was conducted on January 10, 2012 across the state. The TET Assam Result 2012 will be announced on January 25, 2012 at 3 PM.
